How do I enable email verification for registration?
Go to Admin >>> System >>> Registration Settings

Select yes from the drop down where it says "Use email verification for registration?"

I can't see the validation code image on the registration page
In order to display the validation code image, your server must have GD support v2 or higher enabled, otherwise you will get an error 'call to undefined function', or see a box with no image. If this occurs you can display the validation code in plain texy by setting 'Validation code display method:' to Text.

Why does a member receive the error Send mail failed when trying to register?
This usually indicates that your server does not have send mail configure. Simply set 'Use email verification for registration?' to No under Registration Settings in Site Settings.
