new registration Sendmail error

people are trying to register at my site and they keep getting a sendmail error.

I haven't updated, changed anything on my site in at least 3 weeks... Just started happening today.

Thanks in advance for any information on how to correct this.

SMTP field is blank in main settings..

Well, if your host does not offer sendmail, the email won't send if you don't have anything in the smtp settings

Ok, we have over 1,000 registered members, who have had no problem signing up and registering. Its when a person is trying to signup now that they get this mesage: Send mail failed, please contact the Site Administrator.

Ask your host if they have disabled the sendmail option first.
If not, it's a PHPfusion problem...
