how can upgrade from v7.00
arsimus
How can I upgrade from v7.00 to v7.05?

is it just downloading each version and overwrite the same files?

thanks...

Yes, download each version and update files. To speed up job you can skip updating sql database, and update it after you overwrite all files.

The recent upgrades to v7.00.5 have all been file based. In other words administration/upgrade.php in each one has only updated the site version number.
Be careful in the future, this isn't always so and skipping individual upgrades in the future could lead to problems.

My site is currently at v7.00 and i want to upgrade it. do i need to update it v7.01 first then to v7.02 and so on, until v7.05? or i can just immediately update it from v7.00 to v7.05 with updating to v7.01, v7.02, v7.03 and v7.04?

Update 7.00.2 contains: messages.php, search.php
Update 7.00.3 contains: submit.php
Update 7.00.4 contains: messages.php
Update 7.00.5 contains: 46 files.

So, upload all these files except 7.00.2 messages.php and use the latest upgrade.php from 7.00.5

Each of the updates seperately. And we have not yet reached 7.05 but are on 7.00.05... Wink

why is 7.00.02 an exception?

@muscapaul

Am I getting this right? From 7.0.00, I'll over ride it with 7.0.01 then with 7.0.02 and so on, until .05?

there was an update on messages.php in 7.00.2 and another update in 7.00.4..

and yes, from 7.00.0 to 7.00.1 then 7.00.2 ect.
this is the safest way to update
