really slow site
colinw
hi, didnt know which forum to put this in but hope someone can help.
im running a v7 site and its really slow. i dont know if it is a php problem or one with my server provider?
i havnt visited it for about 6 months to be fair and now it seems really slow, sometimes not loading pages properly. ive tried it on different compputors as well. it does it on normal pages aswell as in the admin menus.
could it be me server provider streamilne.net or sql problem?
if anyone could help because i dont know where to start finding out?
thanks

if you have phpmyadmin (or something similar) to view your database try browsing around that. my site slow'd down a lot one time and turns out the database server was lagging. i found that out by just trying to browse around my database via phpmyadmin.

To check if my site is loading slow i use http://host-track... to see what loading/response times it shows. Try it out. If they all seem high then its most likely your webhosting provider.

If you open up config.php in your root directory it will tell you what database its connecting to.
