User Fields
Vyper69
Ok. I am setting up a business site, and I need certain information in the user profile. Basically here is what I am looking at. Name, Business Name, Phone, Address, Location, About, Email. All basic information pertaining to the business. There are no user fields for all of these. Or can someone help me with creating a specific page to capture this information, or even that the information is added during registration. I hate modifying code, but will if I have to.

I believe you can do that via the admin panel -> User Admin -> User Field Categories and User Fields

im not 100% on it, but you can check and see if thats what your looking for.

People Ask Me, "Why is it free?" and I tell them (really slowly) "Because it doesn't cost anything"

No the fields in the admin panel are generic to php whatever version. If the possibility to create new user fields or an update was available, then this would be an excellent feature.

Hi there.

I had a similar issue and I found the solution. I used an existing user file as a template (user_skype) and built the user fields that I needed.

I could guide you a little bit. How good are you with editing php files and overwriting them?

Cheers mate
