Replicating PHP-Fusion website to local XAMPP
Rachidk
Hi everyone

I have a PHP-Fusion website installed and running at a provider's place and I would like to replicate and/or install same on my local server so as to be able to do further development of a customised theme and other addon.

I have XAMPP installed locally. I have a backup of the php files and the Dbase.

Has anybody done this before?

What are the things that I need to take into consideration (config wise) for local restore?

Thank you for your answers Good
Regards

You have to change the values for site_host / site_path in the settings table and the database settings in the config.php!

Thank you for the input.Good

I have thought of first creating a blank DBase with PHPmyAdmin locally with the same name then import the Dbase from my website into it

Would that be a correct approach?

Thank you

The db name does not matter, you just have to check / change the db settings in your config.php (db_host, db_user, db_pass, db_name) to the localhost settings.
