I was wondering if there was a way to show the date, without the time. Right now I use.

Is there something that is date only?

You could use the PHP Date Function. 
$date = date("m/d/Y");

echo $date;

Got it. I actually used this.

$date = date("m/d/Y");

echo date('l jS \of F Y h:i:s A');
