Minor stripinput function problem
PHP-FusionI've been reviewing how well the recently introduced stripinput function is performing. As I explained, the main reason for dropping the use of htmlentities (to strip out harmful html from certain elements) was to improve PHP-Fusion's adaptability for Eastern Languages. Work is ongoing to make PHP-Fusion ready for Eastern support, but during work I discovered a very small flaw.

The stripinput function fails to remove unneeded backslashes (that's \ not /), now this isn't really a problem, since stripslashes can override them, but, as I intend to bring in wc3 xml compliancy in the near future I want to address this now rather than later. So i'm working on an emergency patch to remove these unneeded slashes from your database.

Don't Panic! This is not a serious problem, just a minor irk that I personally would prefer to be ironed out.

PHP-Fusion v3.04
PHP-Fusionv3.04 of PHP-Fusion is now available as an both an upgrade from RV3 and as a stand-alone full installation. v3.04 is more of a service release aimed towards ironing out a few small problems. v3.04 also sees PHP-Fusion losing the X3 RV tag in favour of a more traditional version number. All CSS files are now w3c compliant in preparation for PHP-Fusion's move towards XML 1.2 compliancy (coming soon). Read More for the full update log.

PHP-Fusion to lose X3 tag
PHP-FusionI've decided to rebadge PHP-Fusion X3 to PHP-Fusion. I'm also dropping the RV extension. Future releases will be PHP-Fusion v3.0x, beginning with v3.04 which may come sooner than planned. I've already made adjustments to the way locales and character sets are set.

I'm also in the midst of writing a comprehensive FAQ to answer commonly asked questions, this will be up soon. v3.04 won't be ground breaking but more of a minor service update. I'll update you all soon!

We do not have many V6 installations up and running today. There are some compatibility issues with V7 for sure.

My question is to general public.
