Re: User Pass and Admin Pass and Salts for each On one of my test sites I have no 'user-salt' and no 'user-pass' in the users table. I also have no 'admin-salt' and no 'admin-pass' in the users table. How can I (in php myAdmin) re-create these fields? There is no backup for this test site to restore from. sad

Nevermind; I got this by running install.php again and used the restore function. smile

Re: Cannot Login To Admin Panel Passwords are case sensitive, you can also reset it from phpmyadmin, find your user in users table and remove admin password enter site and edit profile, you will be asked to set one.

Re: Cannot Login To Admin Panel I have installed version 9. I have logged in as admin. When I click on admin panel, it brings me to the Artemis Administration Control Panel. I enter my password and click login, but it does not do anything but clear the box. If I purposely type in the wrong password, it states "Please Enter a Valid Password". I cannot get into the Admin panel to setup my site. Any ideas? Thanks

Re: Why so big? Admin bb codes? When I work with 9, I usually control output at the CSS level.

If you work with the Inspector, notice that you can point to any line of the output and it will show you the relevant CSS files and lines that were used, and you can modify that value. Make sure check disable cache in the inspector and refresh after upload.

Well if I could figure out how to make them wrap when the screen size is reduced it'd be OK but I can't.

Re: Why so big? Admin bb codes? Well looks like I'm not going to get an answer; I suppose we can just close this. I decided to do away with bbcodes in my script and go with my own html_buttons script instead.

Re: User Groups - When registering Deviance made a custom user field so that when the end user signs up to be a member of my site they can pick what user level they can be in. When I installed it and tested the user field by picking the group to be in. It went to the default member as the group not what I picked. Here is the files I hope someone can help me figure what is going on with the custom code.

Re: Activation URL not clickable As said, the mail client is so smart to make some email adreses clickable even in plain text mail. The only way to make it work always, make html mail with href attr. for the link.

Re: Activation URL not clickable

douwe_yntema wrote:

@douwe_yntema - It depends on the mail client receiving the mail.

It wil only work with HTML mails

These must set up properly, with tag's etc. Just like a website

That's all well and good but as far as I know there is no way (or place in the system files), to change/modify the sent email from the registration system. If you know where please tell me. On the other hand I use Thunderbird exclusively as my email client. I have 13 email addresses configured and they all work fine. They are all configured to receive and send html emails. I found an old email in one of my inboxes that had an activation email. After opening it (non-clickable url) I clicked View/Message Body and selected Plain Text and lo and behold the url became clickable. This I do not understand as it seems to be just the opposite of what you would expect to see. GO FIGURE!!
