Re: Missing locale on contact page Still not fixed

In which locale file do I find the phrase?

is it loaded from here: https://github.com/php-fusion/PHP-Fus...rimage.php
lines 1381-1383

And why are there two fields (English and Danish) to enter the security code?

Merged on 01/08/2019:
Sorry ... is fixed

forgot to upload the file ;-)

Re: setlocale(LC_TIME That is correct.
RobiNN linked how the locale/lang/global.php should be set and you returned a faulty line ( ISO ) together with your example of the issue.
Update your global with above and make sure all is converted to UTF-8 and it should fix it for you.

Re: setlocale(LC_TIME the right collation in the database is that:

utf8_unicode_ci

or should it be another?

Re: setlocale(LC_TIME You need
Code
setlocale( LC_ALL, "da", "dan", "da_DK", "da_DK.DK.UTF-8", "danish" );

Also the files must be UTF-8 as well as the database. In some instances you can get away with using Ansi if both files and Locale is set to Windows-1252 ( Ansi ).
But I would never recommended to try and cross breed them formats.

It boils down to 3 things
Database = UTF-8
Locale settings in the global = UTF-8
File format of the actual render and locale files = UTF-8

Re: setlocale(LC_TIME http://kidsvolley-kerteminde.dk/v8/ne...8/news.php

look at footer at the above link

and compare with http://kidsvolley-kerteminde.dk/news.php

settings in global.php:

setlocale( LC_ALL, "da", "dan", "da_DK", "da_DK.ISO8859-1", "danish" );
setlocale(LC_TIME, "da","DA"); // Linux Server (Windows may differ)

Re: setlocale(LC_TIME this is the English setting in global.php

setlocale(LC_TIME, "en_GB.utf8"); // Linux Server (Windows may differ)

where to find the correct Danish setting? I've been googling and searching and searching and googling with no result :-(

Re: UTF-8 Conversion Tools Thread I wondered if there was a similar tool for macOS and found this: https://docs.moodle.org/36/en/Convert...s_to_UTF-8

Re: Globale and one word locale Ok, we will code it in full sentence instead. It should not be used as part of a larger locale construct. Thank you for letting us know.

Re: UTF-8 Conversion Tools Thread This one is great https://www.rotatingscrew.com/utfcast...press.aspx for batch conversion. ( See attachment as well ).

You can also use Notepad++, open and select Format > Convert > UTF-8 for one by one file.

With PowerShell
Code
Get-Content .\test.txt | Set-Content -Encoding utf8 test-utf8.txt

iconv from GNUWin32
Code
"C:\Program Files (x86)\GnuWin32\bin\iconv.exe" -f cp1251 -t utf-8 source.txt > output.txt

Re: Globale and one word locale The current concept of one word and global locales does not work for Dutch language.
The word no, means nee in dutch. For the question "are you smoking?" answer is "no" or "nee" in Dutch.
But for status: There are no private messages, is translated as: "er zijn nee prive berichten", but this is wrong, it should be: "er zijn geen prive berichten.
So the English "no" can be translated as "nee" or as "geen".
For the English No There are two translations possible is Dutch: nee or geen.
But the language files has only one option for it.

Re: Where to find other locales than English for v8? Same results with this tool

Maybe tool does not work with Dutch language?

Ill do it my way, with melddiff.
This tool works, the tool you submitted does not work.

Anyway the V8 Dutch locale at the github repo is NOT uptodate because its made with this tool too.

See this link: http://v8.php-fusion.net/compare_loca...ocales.php

This is with the file you sent, but changed locale to Dutch,
See for yourself the diffs in the locale files on Gitub, in the main admin/main section, there are missing entry's

Merged on 01/02/2019:
There should be a locale repo also for V7.03.00 on github.
Cause I have locales for German and Dutch too

2. Missing locale in admin/main.php
https://github.com/php-fusion/PHP-Fusion/blob/8.00/locale/English/admin/main.php#L116

Indeed this local was missing, but the so called lovely compare_locales.php should have noted it, isn't it?
There where a few more locales missing in the file, also not detected by this tool.

Still got a lot of missing locale indices in the admin section, although the tool says everything is ok.
SO: This tool is not reliable and cannot be use i.m.o.
