Graphics (.svg's) used by NEWS

Is there a way to block the use of those svg's that is in the image gallery for news. I can delete them, but the missing image looks worse.

Tried....still large and obtrusive (to me) would prefer to get rid of it for a cleaner look if possible..

You may have to use the old pf-7 method. To do this, you need to make a photo with a transparent background and the size of 1px. Perhaps there are other methods? Share them.
