Apache2? - Content showing instead of Webpage?

For those that use Apache and can only get site content to show (a list of your files), I can only offer this as a way of preventing content showing up in Apache 2.

Open the httpd.conf file with a text editor and look for the following line:

DirectoryIndex index.html index.html.var

If php has been installed correctly simple add your start page at the end of the line:

if it is index.php then change it so it reads:

DirectoryIndex index.html index.html.var index.php

Hope this helps someone.

If anyone knows of another way or my information is wrong then please post.
