[Solved+hint for V7] Bug [url=containing ++.htm]gives errors[/url]

this won't produce a clickable link :|, page from portforward.com

Removing ++ makes a clickable non valid link, so it must be the + signs that mess up things even in version 7!:@
:o bump :o
Is this a link you want to use on your PHP Fusion site. On a custom page maybe..?? What worked for me on a custom page is:
<a href='http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Sagem/Livebox-Fast-3202/DC++.htm' target='_blank'>this won't produce a clickable link</a>

Also worked in the news section
try putting "" around the link.

So it becomes:
CodeDownload

[url="http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Sagem/Livebox-Fast-3202/DC++.htm"]this won't produce a clickable link[/url]

@Xessive, I have to make this link with BB code not html.:(
@mcollis, tried your suggestion but produced no clickable link. :(

I think I have to edit maincore.php for this to work, but I am reluctant to do so. It should be 'standard'.
Ow yeah, sorry dude. probably wasn't quite awake anymore.

Where do you want to place the BBcode link?? Is it a panel of some sort or a specific infusion??
Is it within something you've written??

Give us a bit more info, that will probably get things sorted out!

Cheers!

I want to place such an url in a forum post like this one now!

this won't produce a clickable link

Above is a valid link, just copy and paste http://.....DC++.htm in your browser and it works. Now put this url in [url] tags in a posting and it won't work. :@
I found one answer:

Try the ASCII code for both the '+' signs:
this WILL produce a clickable link

CodeDownload

url=http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Sagem/Livebox-Fast-3202/DC&#43&#43.htm]this WILL produce a clickable link[/url

I've left out the most left and right brackets, otherwise is will display as a URL
This works. It sucks when a user tries to input something, but as an admin it'll work fine

Although on my website is displays the URL as...DC++ instead of its ASCII equivalent. Maybe its V7 that causes this behaviour on this website. I'm running the latest V6 version. See what happens on your site. If the URL
display WITH the ++ sign leave a message here. Maybe something needs to be changed on the V7 version!
@Xessive, you're right! It produces a clickable link, on version 7 it lands on the wrong page. :(.

But on version 6 it works!!! :)

And because version 7 must be better than version 6 I nominate; "parse strange links correctly".

Thanks for your help Xessive. :D
Glad it worked. Thanks for letting know that V7 parses the url false on multiple site.
Cheerio!
:D
