Is it possible to allow non users/members to post on a public section of the forum as well as view it, it would be a useful feature for me?

You can set the privileges to your forums by going to Admin Panel -> Forums and clicking Edit on the forum you want to mess with.

You are not given the option to set forum privileges upon creating the forum, however. But I would like to see that be implemented
