image and link proxying

Image proxying is necessary when you use HTTPS for the whole website, because linking images from a website using HTTP the browser might block that image due to mixed content. For more details see http://googleonlinesecurity.blogspot.ro/2011/06/trying-to-end-mixed-scripting.html and https://blog.mozilla.org/tanvi/2013/04/10/mixed-content-blocking-enabled-in-firefox-23/
Image proxying is done by downloading external images, storing them and linking them from your website.

EDIT: Since the images have to be downloaded the disc space available on the hosting might decrease on larger websites, so I was thinking maybe we also include a feature where we can upload these images on another host via FTP.

So goes for external links where instead of direct external links you replace them with a redirection page (https://my-secure-fusion-website.com/redirect.php?to=http://unsecure-website.com)
