Can't change password!

Print Track
Hi, So when I reset my login password on my php 7 website, it gives me a bunch of random letters to login and change my password. But when I try to do that, it says :profile updated" but then I can't log in with the new password. I have to used the generic one.

I'm having the same issue with my admin password. I can't remember it and I don't know how to change it.

Print the new one or write it down, the password boxes in 7.02.07 are very confusing but it should indeed work.

It isn't working.. Any other suggestions? Do I have a database problem?

It seems that nothing in the user profile will update. I can't even manually add new users. Any suggestions?

Check your error log if anything is there, have you recently switched environment? ( host etc ), upgraded PHP version?, 7.02 does not run well on PHP 7, around PHP 5.4 is the limit.

I'm not too sure what all of this means. What is undefined index?

You seem to be missing some core files and / or translations. You might also have some custom mods that break your installation.
the preg_match error is due to PHP replaced it. It can still be ok.
Take a fresh download and replace all files, make a backup first.

Hey really appreciate all of your help. I really do.

I took your advice and replaced all the v7 files with a fresh install. Keeping the database (config file and multisite)

The same problems occur.

I can't change my password, can't change my theme or e-mail.

What would cause an update to a user's profile to not save?

Do you have any custom user fields installed / added?
